Registration Open for Winter Recreation Activities

Starting in early December, Toronto residents will be able to register for over 143,300 winter activity spaces available for a variety of ages, interests and skill levels. Activities include swimming, fitness, sports, skating, arts and technology classes and more begin in January 2026. Browse the list of winter recreation activities and register at toronto.ca/WinterRec.

Registration open dates:  

  • Older adults (60+): Opens 10:00am on Monday, December 1 
  • Etobicoke York & Toronto East York communities: Opens 7:00am on Tuesday, December 2 
  • Scarborough & North York communities: Opens 7:00am on Wednesday, December 3 

 Registration is available online, by phone and in person. Residents are encouraged to prepare for registration by exploring the activity listings and make a wish list of their favourite classes in advance. If you haven’t yet set up an account in the new registration booking system, resources are available at toronto.ca/OnlineReg 

An online Registration Preparation Session will take place on Monday, December 1. The session will walk participants through how to create and prioritize a wish list, register and pay (with or without a credit card) and use the Welcome Policy within the new system. The City of Toronto’s Identify ‘N Impact community grant helps promote youth engagement and community safety by providing up to $17K for youth-led (15-29) initiatives that help with violence prevention, mental health and well-being, skills development, arts and youth-friendly spaces. Applications are now open until September 15 at 12:00pm.

 

Opened last year, Biidaasige Park is expanding with 10 more acres of public waterfront space at 238 Cherry Street on Ookwemin Minising. With new places to walk, cycle, paddle, gather, enjoy public art and take in skyline views, residents and visitors are invited to come celebrate during opening weekend on July 25 and 26.
