TCHC Tenant Council Elections: October 16

Tenant Council Elections are coming! Vote this month to elect a Tenant Council Member for your building or townhouse. Your elected Tenant Council Member will: work with your community to improve community spaces, programs, and service; advocate for your community’s needs; and, work with TCHC and the City of Toronto to bring resources to your neighbourhood.

Tenant Councils provide tenants with an opportunity to engage, lead, and help shape their communities, and to work with TCHC staff on local priorities and community initiatives. There will be 78 elections and over 220 candidates across TCHC communities. All TCHC tenants aged 16 and over are eligible to vote.

Please note, elections will only occur in buildings where there is more than one candidate running. If there is only one candidate registered, the candidate is acclaimed.

Advance Voting: Until October 9

Advanced voting will take place between Thursday, October 2 to Thursday, October 9 (excluding Saturday and Sunday).
Tenants can vote at the advanced voting location for their region. For Toronto Centre tenants, that is at Central Region (150 River Street).
Advanced voting hours are 9:00am to 4:30pm.

Election Day: October 16

There are three (3) separate election days – one for each region. Central Region tenants vote on October 16.
Tenants vote in their building or at a location in close proximity.

Church Street Pedestrianization Public Survey

The City of Toronto’s Identify ‘N Impact community grant helps promote youth engagement and community safety by providing up to $17K for youth-led (15-29) initiatives that help with violence prevention, mental health and well-being, skills development, arts and youth-friendly spaces. Applications are now open until September 15 at 12:00pm.
